Pittsburgh, PA, and High Point, NC September 15, 2023 — AYA Instruments and SustainabilitySooner are proud to announce an exciting partnership that will forge a sustainable workforce development powerhouse.

AYA Instruments, a leading name in the energy industry, is a global distributor of vital components and test equipment for producing, distributing, measuring, metering and analyzing electric energy. SustainabilitySooner, is a trailblazing ffwdr™ (fast forwarder) of high impact sustainable technology. It funds and develops innovative sustainability projects with a specific focus on sustainable economic and workforce development. Together, AYA Instruments and SustainabilitySooner are poised to reshape the future of sustainable technology education and workforce development.

The primary objective of their partnership is to propel the rapid growth and evolution of AYA Instruments’’ renowned Sustainability Outreach Program, the Energy Discovery Zone (EDZ).  Their plan is to couple EDZ with ffwdr Institute, SustainabilitySooner’s umbrella non-profit.  ffwdr Institute’s mission is to spread sustainable freedom and prosperity. SustainabilitySooner recognizes that a sustainable future depends on a skilled green workforce that produces and spreads sustainable prosperity.  The partners aim to introduce the EDZ’s innovative workforce development programs to North Carolina as a launchpad for expanding them nationally and internationally. These programs encompass sustainable workforce development in the solar industry, electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and more.

SustainabilitySooner’s commitment to sustainable workforce development aligns with their mission to raise awareness about the imperative need for electric infrastructure upgrades. To meet this demand, a skilled workforce is crucial. With cities and states increasingly embracing green technology, SustainabilitySooner believes in equipping the workforce with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Their vision includes expanding EDZ’s existing programs to encompass robotics, mechatronics, 3D printing, and manufacturing.

One groundbreaking aspect of this partnership is its emphasis of providing students and job seekers with hands-on experience using professional-grade equipment. This real-world experiential learning will enrich job seekers’ resumes and set them on a path toward rewarding careers across fast growing sustainable technology sectors.

Eitan Anouchi, President of AYA Instruments, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are very excited to be announcing this partnership the same week as we drove our newly converted Solar Electric Mobile Classroom off the lot. SustainabilitySooner will soon be rolling-out a $1M Sustainable Workforce Development crowdfunding campaign on social media. This will allow us to offer these sustainable workforce development programs to more people and organizations. But, stay tuned, because even bigger announcements will be coming soon!”

SustainabilitySooner will leverage its fleet of Aptera Solar Electric vehicles to promote the Energy Discovery Zone, igniting curiosity among people of all ages while expanding their outreach.  SustainabilitySooner President & CEO says, “Our first major ffwdr initiative focused on investing in and helping get Aptera into production. Eitan convinced us that becoming a ffwdr for EDZ and their sustainable workforce development programs was our logical next step.  Besides, EDZ has a solar electric van conversion.”

Fuller continued, “Eitan entered our first Aptera ffwdr Action Plan Contest back in June.  The challenge was ‘In no less than 24 words and no more than 101 words, tell the world how, other than just driving it, you would use an Aptera Launch Edition as a ffwdr to achieve SustainabilitySooner.’  His answer about pairing an Aptera w/a EDZ ePro solar electric van to prepare students for green jobs blew away the competition.  It was so compelling that not only did he win, but we’re giving EDZ dibs on Aptera #19, which is designated for ffwdr Institute.”

The partnership’s impact will first be felt in North Carolina, starting in the Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem Triad area.  There are currently plans for additional hubs across North Carolina as well as neighboring states in order to prepare for national and international expansion.

Schools, community colleges, technical institutes as well as federal, state and non-profit workforce development initiatives are the audience for this exciting collaboration. They will not only prepare job seekers for our fast growing green economy, but will help take care of the earth for generations to come.
